Sausage Butty Sandwich


Serves: 2     Total prep time: 20 minutes


  • 2 small ciabattas , split, halved and toasted
  • 4 Wilkinson’s pork sausages (suggested: Cumberland)
  • 1 large onion , sliced
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard or English mustard
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • tomato ketchup ,  HP or whatever sauce you fancy, to serve


Heat a little olive oil in a heavy frying pan and slowly cook Wilkinson’s sausages for about 15 minutes. Remove, add the onions to the pan and cook until caramelised.  Stir in the balsamic, mustard and honey, then add the sausages to warm up. Pile into the ciabatta with the sauce of your choice.
